Major Plant Expansion Underway, New Appointments at North Shore Manufacturing

Two Harbors, MN - North Shore Manufacturing, makers of BuiltriteTM branded material handlers, truck mounted cranes and attachments for the scrap, waste, railroad and general construction markets is undergoing a major expansion to its facility, located in Two Harbors, Minnesota. Approximately 29,000 square feet of manufacturing and offi ce space is being added to accomodate the increased market demand for their products. Included in the expansion will be a state of the art painting facility, new assembly area and additional room for CNC maching centers and in the future, robotic welding centers. Along with the expansion, several key, newly created positions have been fi lled, including:

Scott Anderson - CFO

Scott Anderson - Chief Financial Offi cer - Scott joins the company after working at
W.P. Mars and Company, Duluth, MN. He holds a bachelors degree in accounting from
Metropolitan State University in Mpls. and is a Certifi ed Management Accountant.

Uwe Kausch - Marketing and International Sales Manager - Uwe joins the company
after working for Stanley LaBounty, Two Harbors, MN, holding a variety of positions
within the sales and marketing departments. He is responsible for all marketing efforts
and for developing overseas business opportunities. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree
from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN.

Ean Kuhlmey - Midwestern Regional Sales - Ean joins the sales team after having a
similar position with Maurer Manufacturing, Spencer, IA. He holds an Associates Degree
from Lake Superior College in Duluth, MN.

Srini Palaniappan - Industrial/Operations Engineer - Srini joins the company after
working at Stanley LaBounty in Two Harbors. He is responsible for all lean manufacturing
and process improvement projects within the company. Srini holds a Bachelor’s
degree in Mechanical Engineering at Anna University in Chennai, South India and a
Master’s Degree in Industrial / Operations engineering at Western Michigan University,
Kalamazoo, Michigan.
